Best Practices: Inspection Start Times
In this article, we’ll cover a feature that helps ensure inspections are completed according to our customer's schedules.
Why This Is Important
We offer our customers several options for providing availability for inspections. There may be various reasons why a specific availability type works best for them, but in all cases, completing the inspection according to their request reinforces our reliability.
Quick Tip: Always refer to the availability type and scheduled date/time to determine when to arrive. Factors like occupancy status or access information do not determine the correct arrival time.
Availability Types
Appointment: The inspection is scheduled for a specific date and time. The inspector should begin the inspection at the agreed-upon time.
Go Anytime: The inspection can be completed at any time within a specified timeframe. The inspector may choose when to inspect within that window.
New Timing Feature: Start Inspections at the Right Time
As of Spring 2025, we’ve implemented a new feature that prevents inspectors from starting an inspection before its scheduled time.
For "Appointment-Based" inspections, inspectors will not be able to begin the inspection more than 30 minutes before the scheduled date and time.
For "Go Anytime" inspections, contractors will not be able to start the inspection before the earliest date specified by the customer in the provided range.
