Inspectify Community Guidelines for Clients, Residents, and On-Site Contacts

Whether you manage, own, or live in a property being inspected through Inspectify, it’s important to know what to expect and how to prepare. These guidelines are designed to ensure every inspection experience is professional, safe, and efficient for everyone involved.

Preparing the Property

Clients and residents should ensure that the property is safe and accessible for inspection:

  • Notify residents or occupants in advance of the inspection, including its purpose, the areas that will need to be accessed, and the estimated duration.
  • Ensure clear access to all areas that may need inspection, including but not limited to attics, crawl spaces, electrical panels, utility rooms, and HVAC systems, before the inspection begins.
  • Pets must be secured, and minors are not permitted in inspection areas, as photographs and videos may be taken during the inspection process
  • Ensure utilities (power, water, gas) are turned on if they are required for the inspection.

Communication and Scheduling

Clear communication helps prevent delays:

  • Notify Inspectify as soon as possible if access to the property will be delayed or rescheduled.
  • Respond promptly to scheduling confirmations or questions from Inspectify support.
  • If a delay or access issue prevents an inspection from being completed, additional fees may apply as outlined in the Terms and Conditions.

Understanding the Inspection Process

Inspectors perform their work according to client-specific templates and instructions:

  • Inspections and related data capture may require specific photos or information, even when certain items (such as appliances) are tenant-owned.
  • Inspectors must not skip required steps or alter the inspection scope unless a limitation is clearly documented in the report and communicated to Inspectify support.
  • All photos and information are collected strictly for the purpose of the inspection or appraisal and handled in accordance with Inspectify’s confidentiality and data privacy policies.

Respectful Conduct

Professionalism is expected from everyone involved.

  • Be courteous and cooperative with inspectors while they perform their duties.
  • Avoid interfering with or influencing inspection findings.
  • Aggressive, threatening, or disruptive behavior toward Inspectify or Appraisify employees, contractors, subcontractors, or associated team members will not be tolerated and may result in cancellation or termination of services.

Report Access and Sharing

Inspectors cannot share inspection reports directly with property owners, residents, or agents.

  • Inspectors are not permitted to share inspection or appraisal reports directly with property owners, residents, or agents.
  • If you need a copy of a report or confirmation that it can be shared, please contact Inspectify directly at hello@inspectify.com or through your designated client portal.
  • This policy ensures that all documents are distributed securely and only to authorized parties.
