What are the Inspectify Community Guidelines?

Inspectify Community Guidelines for Surveyors

Inspectify Community Guidelines

Whether you’re inspecting your 5th or 500th property with Inspectify, it’s important to know what to expect and how to be successful. These guidelines have been developed to ensure every experience on our platform feels safe, professional, and positive for Surveyors, clients, and residents.

Many of Inspectify’s clients are purchasing homes from afar and rely on a thorough inspection report to be their eyes on-site. There are unique needs of our clients that we want to share to help build consistent, high-quality reports to empower them to discover and care for their property investment as if it’s their own home.

These guidelines include, but are not limited to, Surveyors:

  • Adhere to scheduled appointment times. Often, residents miss work or other obligations to meet our Surveyors, and keeping scheduled appointments is crucial.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance - no tank tops, gym shorts, flip flops, etc.
  • Collect clear, high-quality photos (and video walkthroughs, if required) that capture the entire interior and exterior of the property. The in-app camera may operate more slowly than a device’s native camera, so please review each photo/video to ensure quality and clarity.
  • Capture appliance tag data when prompted, and verify the extracted data for accuracy, updating if necessary. Ensure that the app-provided appliance model and year of manufacture match the appliance tag.
  • Identify any partial or previous repairs throughout the property.
  • Add notes for any “red flags” or items of concern throughout the property if not otherwise noted as a deficiency.
  • If you are unable to address specific questions or items during the inspection for any reason, include these limitations in the report to inform the client.
  • Do not share the reports with anyone. If residents or additional parties on-site have any questions, please inform them to contact Inspectify directly.

If you encounter issues preventing the start or completion of the inspection, such as problems accessing the property, please contact our team immediately by calling or texting 855-271-6876 or reach out via email.

We appreciate your attention to detail in order to fulfill the clients’ scope of work. At the same time, we understand that these guidelines aren’t for everyone. While we hope we can continue to work together to serve Inspectify’s nationwide client base, behaviors that violate the Master Inspection & Services Agreement, such as refusal to answer template questions and missed appointments, may result in removal from our platform.

Please do not hesitate to reach out to our Partnerships team if you have any feedback or account related questions. If you have any day-of-inspection needs or app-related questions, please reach out directly to our Customer Success team by calling or texting 855-271-6876 or reach out via email.
