Purpose of Inspection: To document the current state of an ongoing construction/renovation project and assess project progress for budgeting considerations.
Estimated Time: Approximately 1 hour
During a Draw Inspection, the following is required:
- Clear photos of the specified areas and systems, showing their current condition (including if they are absent, not started, or fully completed).
- A rough estimate of the item/system completion, ranging from 0% to 100%, based on your visual assessment.
The inspection scope may vary depending on client and project needs, but it is essential to inspect all areas and systems listed in the draw inspection template for a thorough review.
Suggested equipment:
- Flashlight
- Comfortable, closed-toe shoes are recommended, as construction sites may have debris.
Important Notes:
- Scheduling Adherence:
Please adhere to the scheduled date and time, as the designated contact on-site will only be available during that specific window. - Access Issues: If you encounter problems accessing the property, please contact our Customer Success Team immediately for assistance.
- Homeowner or Project Manager Guidance:
Some homeowners or project managers may not fully understand their lender’s draw inspection requirements and might suggest that certain items require or do not require review. However, it is crucial to complete the template as outlined in your app unless instructed otherwise by Inspectify. - Progress Estimation:
Estimate the completion percentage for each area based on its current state. Percentages do not need to be exact; clear photos will help verify your estimate and provide additional context. - Contingency Question:
Contingency is used on our clients’ end regarding their internal funds. Unless otherwise specified in the template, use this section to summarize the overall progress of the property with an average progress estimate for all areas and general photos of the property, especially of notable items. - Cannot Answer:
If you find an area or item that’s missing or hasn’t been worked on, mark it as “0%” progress and include photos showing its current state to the best of your ability. Many of our clients are not local and rely on any information and images of the surrounding area. - Inaccessible Areas or Items:
If an area or item is present but cannot be safely accessed, add the limitation in the relevant section of the report and upload a photo that shows the obstructions or issues preventing access.
