Inspectify Expectations: Reporting Standalone vs. Installed Units
It is not necessary to document standalone appliances in Inspectify reports. We only require the documentation of appliances that are installed or included with the property.
What is the difference between standalone vs. installed units?
A standalone unit is a freestanding appliance not built into or attached to the home interior walls or cabinetry. The most common example of a standalone unit would be a countertop appliance.
An example of a standalone mini fridge and microwave can be seen below.
An installed unit may be attached to an area’s cabinetry or walls, or may be integrated into the structure. Think of large kitchen appliances, washers and dryers, water heaters, and HVAC.
