Some of our clients will require videos of the interior and/or exterior of a property. Please see additional details below for expectations and best practices.
Interior Video Walkthrough Expectations
Please record a video in landscape mode, walking around the property's interior and capturing every room.
- At the main entrance, document each room, showing walls, ceiling, floor, and fixtures. Enter each room and show all closets, fans, windows, etc. Bathrooms should have shower curtains/doors pulled back and valve, drain, and condition recorded in addition to mirrors, vanity lights, faucets, toilets, etc. Each video should take approx. 5 minutes to complete.
- If, for any reason, there is an area of the interior of the property that can not be captured due to a limitation, please provide a limitation in the report for the client's awareness.
Exterior Video Walkthrough Expectations
Please record a video in landscape mode walking around the property's exterior and capturing all sides of the property: front, left, right, and back.
- Starting at the front of the home, take a 360-degree video on all four corners of the property and a ground-to-roof view on each side of the house to show the condition. Include the yard and all structures (pools, sheds, detached garages, etc.). Each video should take approx. 5 minutes to complete.
- If the property being inspected is a Townhome or attached unit we ask that you record as much as you can of the exterior.
- If the property being inspected is an Apartment, Condo, or Multi-Family unit please pan around the front door area to show the surroundings.
