Interior and Exterior Video Walkthroughs

Some of our clients will require videos of the interior and/or exterior of a property. Please see additional details below for expectations and best practices.

Interior Video Walkthrough Expectations

Please record a video in landscape mode, walking around the property's interior and capturing every room.

  • At the main entrance, document each room, showing walls, ceiling, floor, and fixtures. Enter each room and show all closets, fans, windows, etc. Bathrooms should have shower curtains/doors pulled back and valve, drain, and condition recorded in addition to mirrors, vanity lights, faucets, toilets, etc.
  • If, for any reason, there is an area of the interior of the property that can not be captured due to a limitation, please provide a limitation in the report for the client's awareness.

Exterior Video Walkthrough Expectations

Please record a video in landscape mode walking around the property's exterior and capturing all sides of the property: front, left, right, and back.

  • Starting at the front of the home, take a 360-degree video on all four corners of the property and a ground-to-roof view on each side of the house to show the condition. Include the yard and all structures (pools, sheds, detached garages, etc.).
  • If the property being inspected is a Townhome or attached unit we ask that you record as much as you can of the exterior.
  • If the property being inspected is an Apartment, Condo, or Multi-Family unit please pan around the front door area to show the surroundings.

Each interior and exterior video should be approximately 2–4 minutes in length. As long as the pacing is steady and all areas are captured, this will be considered adequate.
