Job Assignment

What is the feature?

To support better organization of jobs in the Inspectify app, we now support assignment of individual users to jobs.

How does it work?

While accepting a job in the app, you’ll be prompted to select a user to assign. While only one user is required, we also support assigning multiple individuals to a single job.

After accepting a job and assigning a user, the assigned user will be displayed at the bottom of the job “card” in your Upcoming tab and assigned users will be able to see a filtered list of jobs they are assigned to by using the “My Jobs” filter.

Editing assigned users

You can edit the assigned users for a job by tapping into the job summary page and navigating to the “Edit” button, where the assigned user or users are listed.

Assignee Permission

If you have employees that don’t perform services, but still have an Inspectify account, you can decide who will show up in your list of assignable users by editing their “Assignee” permission in your web dashboard.

Who can assign users?

Any user with the “Offers” permission. The “Offers permission determines whether or not the user can see the “Offers” tab in the app and accept or decline incoming job offers. This means anyone who can receive offers can also edit assigned users.

What if I’m the only user on my account?

You’ll be automatically assigned to jobs so you don’t have to do it manually. If you decide to add users in the future, you’ll be able to select between yourself and the other users.
