Prior to our app being able to utilize the camera or microphone on your device, users must provide permissions to access media, such as photos and videos.
iOS devices:
Please access the Settings menu on your device, followed by the Privacy tab, and then select Photos. From there, you can evaluate and modify the access permissions granted to applications for your photo library. Please allow Photos to access the Inspectify App as it is necessary for the camera functionality within the application. We plan to introduce a feature in an upcoming update that will notify users if these permissions are not granted.
If you use iOS 14 or above, you can pick between photo permission levels:
- Allow access to all photos: Shares all your photos with Google Maps. This also includes pictures taken after you select this option.
- Select photos: Shares only selected photos with Google Maps. The pictures you choose are the only ones you can interact with inside Google Maps.
- Don’t allow: Shares no photos with Google Maps.
Please note: Please be aware that users selecting limited photo permissions may be required to grant permission for individual media file(s) in certain instances.
Android devices
Please note: If permissions for photos and videos are not granted, taking photos with the in-app camera remains possible.
