Understanding AI Inspectify Flags on Reports

At Inspectify, we are constantly pushing the boundaries of technology to provide clients with the most transparent and confident home-buying experience possible. As part of this mission, we have introduced an in-house AI model designed to assist clients in reviewing reports. This article addresses how these AI flags work and, more importantly, what they mean (and don’t mean) for you as the inspector.


What are AI Inspectify Flags?

AI flags are an optional, client-side add-on that appears after an inspection report has been submitted. Our proprietary model scans the report to highlight areas that may require extra attention or clarification for the client.

Key Things to Know:

  • Post-Submission Only: The AI does not interact with your workflow while you are on-site or during the drafting process. It only runs once the final report is uploaded.

  • Clear Attribution: Every flag generated by the AI is explicitly labeled as an "Inspectify AI Flag." It is never presented as part of your professional findings.

  • Inspector Integrity: These flags do not change your data, your ratings, or your professional conclusions. Your report remains exactly as you authored it.

Q: Does an AI flag mean I did a poor job or made a mistake?

A: No. An AI flag is not a reflection of your report quality or your performance. It is a supplemental tool designed to help clients digest information. Even if the AI flags a section, your original finding remains the "source of truth."

Q: What if the AI flag is incorrect or doesn't make sense?

A: Because this is an emerging technology, the AI is not always 100% accurate. We are constantly refining the model to improve its logic. If you or a client notice a flag that seems off, remember:

  • The client is informed that this is an automated tool.

  • The flag does not impact your internal inspector rating or "quality score" at Inspectify.


Q: Why do we offer this if it isn't perfect?

A: We believe in challenging the power of technology to add layers of confidence for the homebuyer. By providing an automated "second set of eyes," we help clients feel more secure in their purchase, which ultimately drives more business to the Inspectify platform and our inspector network.

Q: Can I change or remove the AI flag?

A: Since the flags are generated by an external model after submission, they cannot be edited within the inspector dashboard. If a client has a specific question about a flag, you can simply remind them that it is an automated Inspectify feature and refer them to your original professional findings in the report text.
