Vault Locks 3200: Reset Instructions (SJA Property Management Lockbox)

This guide walks inspectors through how to reset, attach, and secure a Vault Locks 3200 lockbox, ensuring proper function and key security.

Follow the steps below to reset your lockbox combination, attach it securely, and ensure it’s properly locked.

Resetting Your Lockbox Combination

The lockbox is preset with a factory combination of "0-0-0-0". To set your own combination:

  1. Open the Lockbox Door

Use the default combination to open the lockbox door.

  2. Access the Reset Lever

Remove the rubber plug on the inside of the lockbox door to reveal the silver reset lever.

  3. Set a New Combination

    • Slide the reset lever in the direction indicated by the arrow.

Important: This lever can only be moved if the dials are set to the current combination.

    • Hold the lever in place while rotating the dials to your new desired combination.  New code should be the number 1 plus first 3 digits of address.

Tip: Keep your fingers on the reset lever to prevent it from slipping out of position.

  4. Test the Lockbox

Make sure the new combination opens and closes the door reliably.

    • If the lockbox doesn’t open and close properly, return to Step 1 and try again.
  5. Secure the Reset Lever

Return the reset lever to its original position and replace the rubber plug.

Releasing the Shackle and Attaching the Lockbox

  1. Open the Shackle

Slide and hold the shackle release to the left while pulling up on the shackle.

  2. Secure the Lockbox

Place the lockbox over a door knob or handle to attach it securely.

Locking Your Lockbox

  1. Insert Keys

Place the desired keys into the key storage area of the lockbox.

  2. Close the Compartment

Shut the key storage area securely.

  3. Secure the Dials

Rotate the dials to a random combination to lock the box and secure the keys inside.

Note: Test your new combination to ensure it works properly, and always return the reset lever to its original (locked) position to secure the lockbox.
